First published in 1766, this was Christopher Anstey's most popular work, and he never quite recaptured the success of this work, which was constantly in print during his lifetime.Illustrated, with a frontispiece as called for. ESTC reference no: T89808. Collated, complete. Bound in full calf. Externally, slightly worn, with rubbing to leather. Joints are cracked, with boards tenderly held, particularly the front.
