This set features an introduction by his daughter, Susan Fenimore Cooper.  This set includes: "Miles Wallingford", "The Wing and Wing", The Red Rover", "The Headsman", "Afloat and Ashore", "The Sea Lions", "The Monikins", "Precaution", "Wyandotte", "The Wept of Wish-Ton-Wish", "The Spy", "The Prairie", and "The Pioneers".  Dated from the date provided in "The Red Rover", as many are undated.  Publisher"s advertisements to the rear.In the publisher's original cloth with gilt details to the front and spine.  In the publisher"s original gilt cloth. Externally smart with light bumping and rubbing to the extremities, light rubbing to the joints, and minor marks to the boards. Offsetting to endpapers. Rear hinge starting to "Monikins".
