Collated, complete.The plates in this volume include depictions of the Solan Goose, Black Guillemot, Sandpipers, Fieldfare, Song Thrush, Heron, Willow Warbler, and more. Blackburn was a Scottish painter, who is best known for this work, which was followed by a second, expanded edition, in 1868. In a rebacked quarter cloth binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Boards are rubbed, with loss to the extremities. Light age-toning and marks to the boards.
