From the Hogarth Press Living Poets series, number twenty-three. Addressed to Virginia Woolf, this poem follows a youthful romance between the two title characters. Written by Joan Adeney Easdale, an English poet and daughter of author Gladys Ellen Easdale. Virginia Woolf discerned some "real merit" in her early work and published this work and others despite opposition from John Lehmann. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light wear and sunning to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
