A scarce work in all edition.First published in 1777, this is the work of English churchman, academic, writer, and university administrator George Horne.Horne asserts in this work that Hume was a man "possessed with an incurable antipathy to all that is called religion", and uses his work to refute the contempt of Christian belief exhibited by Hume, and described by Smith.Retaining the original half title, with an advertisement leaf to the rear. Unbound, as issued. Leaves lightly age toned due to paper type, with instances of light spotting throughout. Internally, final gathering working loose.
