The poll book for the Lincoln county election of two Knights of the Shire, the formal title for a member of parliament representing a county constituency in the British House of Commons, used from its origins in the medieval Parliament of England until the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885. With an impartial statement of proceedings before and during the contest, a report of all speeches delivered, and an alphabetical list of all towns in the Southern Division. Bound in quarter cloth with paper covered boards. Externally, worn with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with small splits to the cloth at the head and tail. Marks to the boards with loss of the paper to each board. Front hinge tender with rear hinge starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound with front endpaper detached but present. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Grammar School ink stamp to the endpapers and pastedowns as well as the title page. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
