With the publisher's initials to the edition page. Illustrated with eight compositions by Louis-Edouard Fournier, etched by Xavier Lesueur. Collated complete. This limited edition volume features a collection of poems by Petronius, the ancient Roman courtier, translated into French by Jermone Doucet. The work is beautifully illustrated with etchings by Xavier Lesueur from compositions by Louis-Edouard Fourneir, a French painter. With an advertisement for 'Myrrha' by Jules Lemaitre. In the publisher's original paper covers with the original incorporated dust wrapper. Externally the front joint weak and covers age toned. The wrap is very smart with age toning, creasing to the spine and minimal edge wear. Internally, binding weak in places.
