The series was edited by M. R. James, a British author and scholar known for his ghost story collections. This particular volume is third in the series and contains the Pauline and Pastoral Epistles.Illustrated with two engravings by Eric Gill, lacking the map endpapers as was bound without.With the stamp of J. H. 1940 to the rear endpaper. Bound in full crushed morocco. Externally, very smart indeed, with light marking to leather and a little darkening to extremities and spine.
