This omnibus comprises of humorous articles, essays, and short stories.Cruikshank produced this work in order to have a creative outlet which was not restricted by an editor, so that he had complete control over his art.Illustrated with a frontispiece, engraved preface page, twenty-one plates and numerous vignettes. Collated, complete. With the bookplate of R. C. Brook. Bound in a contemporary half calf with marbled boards. Externally, sound with slight rubbing to the extremities, spine and boards. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, generally firmly bound, a little strained to the front of the work.
