[CREATIVE PRINT MOVEMENT] HIRATSUKA UN'ICHI, et al. - Kitsutsuki Hangashü Sango Shizumono

 1529621273,
1931. [CREATIVE PRINT MOVEMENT] HIRATSUKA Un'ichi, editor. KITSUTSUKI Hangashû 3-go Shizumono. This "Dôjin" magazine was limited to a maximum of 500 copies, though, as it ceased production that year of 1931, it would be hard to credit such a large production of it. Edited by Hiratsuka Un'ichi, as well as other famous Creative Print artists such as Kawakami and Onchi, the ten prints included of "still life" scenes are quite lovely and skillfully printed. As mentioned, the original KITSUTSUKI magazine here presented, died in 1931, though two issues of a totally different magazine with the same name, also organized by Un'ichi, appeared briefly some 11 years later, during the Pacific War. This early work is extremely unusual and the artists very important, including such masters as Munakata Shiko, Kawakami Sumio, Hiratsuka Un'ichi and Tokuriki Tomikichirô, among others. Complete, as issued, ther cover spine is strating, else, very good inside and out. .
