A scarce copy of this Edwardian children's annual, published in 1904. Cover illustration in colour by prolific illustrator Harry Roundtree, well-known for his drawings for 'Alice and Wonderland' (1908). With over 100 black and white illustrations and six full colour plates by numerous illustrators, including renowned artist Arthur Rackham. To the rear of the book is eight pages of publisher's advertisements. This work is a collection of stories and articles for children. Rackham's illustrations are for the In the Land of Mikado: Tales of New Japan, by Wood Smith. The 'Little Folks' is an annual Edwardian children's magazine edited by S.H. Hamer. In original binding, red cloth spine and paper covered boards with colour illustration to front and advertisement on rear. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to boards' extremities. Scattered marks on front and rear, especially front top. Shelf wear to extremities. Faint offsetting to end papers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean and bright with the odd spot.
