A collection of four historical lectures, two of which relate to India and the personal experiences of the author during his time there, one of which remarks on the British House of Commons, and one tells the discovery of America. Written by William Delafield Arnold, a British author and colonial administrator. Previously held in the library of Lieutenant-General Frederick Vavasour Broome Witts, a senior British Army officer. Bound in full brown calf. Externally, sound with rubbing to the extremities and loss to the head of the spine. Light fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot and minor age toning to the extremities. Cotemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Good .
