A very scarce edition of this work in a full morocco binding with gilt detailing to the boards and spine, and the gilt initials 'A. L.' to the front board. All edges gilt. Great Malvern Priory in Malvern, Worcestershire, was a Benedictine monastery from about 1075 to 1540. It is now an Anglican parish church, with the largest display of 15th-century stained glass in England and the largest collection of medieval floor and wall tiles. In 1860 major restoration work was carried out by Sir George Gilbert Scott. This volume contains psalms and hymns selected from the Companion to the Book of Common Prayer, for the use of this church. With a list of subscribers, and an index to the rear. In a full morocco binding. Externally, generally smart though rubbed to the boards, extremities and raised bands to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the first and last few pages. Very Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Very Good .
