Three very scarce volumes in one, each in the original French.The first work is the very scarce first edition of Theodore Ducamp's discussion of urine retention caused by strictures of the urethra. In the early decades of the nineteenth-century, cauterization was the favoured method of unblocking urethral strictures, with Ducamp's method being was one of the most popular and least harmful to the patient.Illustrated with five plates. Collated, complete.The second and third works are parts I and II of the first edition of M. F. Lallemand's observations on diseases of the genitourinary organs, published in 1825 and 1827. With each part retaining the original half title and title page.Lallemand was a military surgeon, and professor at the surgical clinic in Montpellier. Illustrated with two folding plates. Collated, complete.Former owner's inscription to part II half title.Very scarce works. In a quarter calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Minor loss of leather to back strip head, and head of rear joint. Joint heads starting, with boards a touch tender. Internally, firmly bound. Light tide mark to tail of each leaf.
