This illustrated English language edition of The Arabian Nights was first published by Hodder & Stoughton in 1924, and contains some of the best-known tales from The Thousand and One Nights, a famous collection of Middle Eastern folktales compiled during the Islamic Golden Age. It includes colour reproductions of the exquisite watercolour paintings by the talented book illustrator Edward Julius Detmold (1883-1957).
