A collection of his photographs of noted Californians was donated to the California State Museum. His studio in San Francisco also produced a series of stereoscopic views of western scenery. The studio, along with all of his glass negatives, was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.(Kurutz p.20) Muir Glacier, formerly the most famous of the tidewater glaciers, once rose 256 ft. above the water and was nearly 2 miles wide.
