Dryden, England's first Poet Laureate, wrote copious poetical works that have remained popular. The work also includes a short biography of the life of this legendary poet. Bound in full morocco. Externally very smart with slight bumping to the extremities, fading and slight cracking to the spine with minimal rubbing to the raised bands and joints and the odd minor mark to the boards. A mark to the centre of the endpapers with a bookseller's label to the pastedown, a binder's label to the rear pastedown, two past owner's names in ink to the front free endpaper, one dated 1939 and the other dated 1910, and the odd slight mark and spot.
