Scarce in any early edition. With thirty five hand coloured plates. Collated, lacking plate XIV. A charming work educating children on form, comparison, and number through a series of coloured plates, with explanations by Nicholas Bohny. An early example of this scarce, but nonetheless influential nineteenth century children's work. In quarter cloth with pictorial boards. Externally sound with loss to the extremities and marks to the boards. Hinges strained. Internally binding failed with several leaves detached but present. Lacking plates XIV.
