Collated, lacking colour plates facing pp. 1512 and 1392 to 'Volume 3&apos. This four volume work was edited by Walter Hutchinson and includes a collection of papers written by a range of historians including A. D. Innes and Professor J. E. Lloyd. The papers cover the history of Britain, including topics such as prehistoric times, The Norman Dynasty and influential battles and wars. Undated, dated by a copy held at the British Library. Bound in full moire cloth. Externally very smart with fading to the spines to all and to the boards to volumes '1 and 2', bumping to the extremities, slight rubbing to the extremities of the boards, the odd mark to the boards, small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine and rear joint starting to 'Volume 4&apos. Rear hinge tender to 'vol I' with light marks and the odd spot to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with very minimal age toning to the extremities and the odd minor mark. lacking colour plates facing pp. 1512 and 1392 to 'Volume 3&apos. Very Good .
