Volume two is illustrated with one plate, and volume four is illustrated with two plates. Each issue includes notes on the status and distribution of certain species, notes on migration, habitats, and food levels. With additional commentary on song, experiments, observations, and some previously classified notes. Edited by Ralph Whitlock, an English farmer, broadcaster, author, journalist, and conservationist. Bound in full blue cloth with original paper wraps bound in. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board.
