This interesting book on election and other political posters of the mid 1920s in England and in Switzerland captures very effectively the social political ferment in those two democracies after the end of the First World War. Profusely illustrated, the posters themselves tell the tale most effectively. Must have had an avid audience in Japan, whose admiration for effective design in advertising and propaganda would have combined with an interest in democratic movements in Europe as their own "Taisho^ Democracy" was evolving.
