All of the plates depict various scenes in Lichfield.Bound without the errata to the front. A concise history exploring the city of Lichfield in Staffordshire.The city is best known for its three-spired medieval cathedral, and for being the birthplace of Samuel Johnson. With blank leaves bound between each leaf, bound in by a prior owner, six blank leaves bound between pages 6 and 7.'Benefactions to the City of Lichfield' to the rear with a separate title page, pagination, and register. Compiled by the author, John Jackson, chiefly from manuscripts and ancient authorities. In a rebacked calf binding, with renewed endpapers. Externally, original calf boards are rubbed. Minor bumping to the extremities, with a small amount of loss of leather. Spine is a little faded. Small mark to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with some scattered spots, spotting to the plates. Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Good .
