This work has compiled fifty artists from the twentieth century and showcases their artwork in vibrant full colour plates. Artists such as Stuart Davis, John Sloan, Jacob Lawrence and Marsden Hartley have been featured in this work along with many other influential painters. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally excellent with only a very minor mark to the rear and light bumping to the tail of the spine. Very light age toning to the extremities of the end papers. The wrap is also excellent with only light handling marks to the rear, light sunning to the spine and very minor creasing and chipping to the top of the spine. Tape reinforcements to the head of the spine to the verso. Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages with only minor age toning to the extremities. Near Fine .
