This wonderfully presented pair of novels are both First Editions, in original publisher's cloth binding and original unclipped dust wrappers. D. G. Holliday is a retired technologist whose strong interest in the Great War and the Second World War began when he discovered the world's first tanks were built in Lincoln, not far from the village he grew up in. These particular works are set in slightly different times, with Damage set between 1917 and 1918. This novel features an Army Chaplain who receives many injuries during the Great War, with Holliday using this Chaplain's experiences to reflect on the war and its impact. 1934 explores the question of what caused the Second World War.
