Samuel Frederck Gray, the author of "The Operative Chemist" (1828) wrote on medicine, pharmacy and botany. Arthur Livermore Porter was Professor of Chemistry at the University of Vermont. With a great deal on the processing of ores and metals, on distilleries, and on heating and lighting. Ex-library, minimal markings, foxed; spine and boards detached.
