EL #356, an entry in their Fiction series, edited by Ernest Rhys. --- In flatback binding style 1, full carmine cloth-covered boards with elaborate Reginald Knowles-designed imitation gold spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, black topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title page, endpapers & frontis. Volume lacks the dust jacket. --- The spine titling & decorations have tarnished and turned black, with prior Edinburgh owner's inked signature & info. to front free endpaper & moderate chafing to edges of cloth, else a sound copy.
