Lucian was a Syrian satirist, rhetorician and pamphleteer who is best known for his tongue-in-cheek style.   Livy (1880) by Canon Collins is a reprint. Titus Livius, or Livy, was a Roman historian who wrote a monumental history of Rome and the Roman people. With a folding map to the rear. Lucretius (1887) by W. H. Mallock is a reprint copy. Lucretius was a Roman poet and philosopher. Ovid (1890) by Rev. Alfred Church is reprint. Ovid was a Roman poet who lived during the reign of Augustus. Aristotle (1898) is a first edition copy by Sir Alexander Grant. Aristotle was an Ancient Greek philosopher and polymath. Collated, complete.  All are in the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and some light marks to the boards. Previous owner pencil inscriptions to the rear pastedown and reverse of the rear free endpaper of Lucian. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: None.
