London, 1869. The popular British magazine The Graphic published this special issue dedicated to Henry Stanley's adventures in Africa. Unfortunately the cover (pp.1,2, 35, 36) is lacking. Present are three extra coloured supplements - Daylight at last! - Meeting of Emin Pasha and Mr. Stanley - A portrait group of the officers of his expedition and a Map of the expedition. ADDED: 1) The Graphic Map of South/Central Africa showing the British and German possesions, in colour. 57 x 40 cm, supplement to The Graphic; June 28th, 1890 2. Six loose pages published in several issues of The Graphic, year 1890, concerning the Stanley expedition, e.g. 1. Stanley's arrival at Cairo (doublepage) issue February 1st, 2. Illustrations from mr. Stanley's great book, issue July 5th, 3. Mr. H.M. Stanley's return to civilisation, issue Febuary 1st, 4. The return of mr. H.M. Stanley, issue May 3, and two others.

- All items are assumed to be complete and in the original or contemporary binding, unless otherwise stated. Minor defects, such as small stamps, tickets, labels and small inscriptions, or unimportant stains or damage to bindings are in general not mentioned.
- All books are in Octavo, unless another format is given.
- Any item may be returned within 7 days after receipt without further explanation. After that restitution of the purchase-price (but not of the dispatch-costs) will take place. If the item is returned because of an inaccurate desription, the dispatch-costs as well as the return-costs will be restituted. In both cases prior notification by e-mail will be appreciated.
