STEPHENS, John L. INCIDENTS OF TRAVEL IN CENTRAL AMERICA, CHIAPAS AND YUCATAN. Illustrated by numerous engravings. Two volumes. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1846. twelfth edition. The plates have a bit of spotting and a little foxing, but are relatively clean. The crown of both volumes are chipped and there is a bit of brown dye on the upper fore-edge of the last 15 or so leaves of volume one, apparently from dampness to the board. The hinges are a bit weak, but overall a serviceable set in original condition. Ill.: FE.
