An illustrated work in a full morocco binding with gilt decoration to the spine and moire silk end papers. All edges gilt. A collection of stories concerning famous children, such as Betrant de Guseclin, whose strength in childhood anticipated the major part he played in the Hundred Years' War; Michaelangelo, whose skill as a sculptor was evident from a young age; Anne of Brittany, who became Queen of France at 14 years old; and Mozart, who composed his first pieces at a very young age. In a full morocco binding. Externally fairly smart, with rubbing to the boards and extremities. Front hinge is starting but remains firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age toned but clean.
