"Eddie" Guest, sometimes referred to as the "People's Poet," was a popular poet in the early part of the 20th century. Mr. Guest was born in England, but settled in Detroit where he worked for a newspaper. --- In full black cloth-covered boards with titling and decoration in gilt to cover; spine titling once was also in gilt. Volume lacks a dust jacket. --- With near total fading to spine titling and a few minor specks of soiling to cloth, prior owner's penciled notation to front free endpaper and bookseller label to front paste-down, else a tightly-bound, sound copy.; 12mo - 7 to 7-1/2 in. tall; 192 pages.
