The first edition of this very scarce work in the original paper wraps. A catalogue of fine paintings, written in French, from an auction at Hotel Drouot in Paris on 4th June 1891. Among other paintings, this catalogue includes information on: Albert Durer's 'Samson Etouffant le Lion' or 'Samson Rending the Lion'; Raphael's 'La Madone avec l'Enfant Jesus' or 'Madonna with the Christ Child' (from the collection of 'Mme. la baronne F. de L'); and two paintings by Peter Paul Rubens, 'Le Mage Grec' or 'Gaspar, the Greek King' and 'Le Mage Assyrien' or 'Melchior, The Assyrian King&apos. In the original paper wraps. Externally sound, with age toning and a few faint marks to the front and rear of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound.
