Illustrated with eight plates and four folding plates to the rear of the volume. Collated, complete. A scarce illustrated scientific work with a focus on biology, written in the original French by Charles Janet (1849-1932), a French engineer, inventor and biologist. In a cloth library binding. Externally very smart, with just some small faint marks to the boards. Abrasion to the front paste down and front free end paper. Internally, firmly bound.
