Written by Dr Oliver Goldsmith, an Anglo-Irish writer and historian. Bound in full calf. Externally, sound with shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. A split to the centre of the spine has broken the book in two halves between pages 166 and 167, the halves are joined by one thread to the top of the spine which would likely detach with further handling. Internally, generally firmly bound with some sections loosening. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot. Contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown. Fair . Ill.: None. Fair .
