Coward. These volumes are handy pocket guides to the birds of the British isles with details on their eggs in the first two volumes and on their migration and habits in volume three. The first series is a third impression copy and with 159 plates (1921). The second series is a first edition copy with 159 plates (1920). The third series is reprint copy (1941) with 127 plates. Collated, complete.  All are in the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some rubbing to the joints and spine of vols i and ii and bumping to the head and tails. With some light fading to the spine of volume three. Small tear to the top of the joint of volume i. Rear hinge is failing and front hinge is starting to volume i. Front hinge is starting to volume i but remains firm. With a previous owner pencil inscription to the half title of all volumes. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Good . Ill.: Archibald Thorburn. Good .
