Byron's executors obtained an injunction against publication, and Dallas died shortly thereafter. This work, edited by Dallas's son, was published almost immediately, and contains an account of the dispute over the publication of the Byron letters. Rebacked, in a half calf binding, with original boards restored and back strip laid down. Significant rubbing to boards, joints and back strip. Hinges strained but firmly held.
