Early edition of France by Gordon Home in the original publisher's cloth binding. First published in 1914, this edition was reprinted and expanded with double the number of plates. A lovely study of France and its religion, landscape, architecture and history. Gordon Home was an English landscape artist and writer, whose work was frequently exhibited at the Royal Academy. Illustrated with sixty four colour plates. Collated, complete. Prize book plate to the first pastedown dated 1923. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The spine is slightly faded. The hinges are strained but firm.
