A collection of the letters and writings of English poet, Edward Fitzgerald, a writer best known for his English translation of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, which has kept its reputation and popularity since the 1860s. The first volume contains letters from 1830-1883. Volume two contains the works Euphanor, Six Dreams from Calderon, The Bird Parliament, The Two Generals amongst others. Collected and edited by William Aldis Wright, an English writer and editor. In the original quarter calf binding with black cloth boards. Externally, ex library with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Residue from library ink to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
