First edition of Wellington Role of Honour 1939-1945 edited by George Edinger in the original publisher's cloth binding. A heartfelt dedication to the alumni of Wellington College who died in service during the Second World War. From the library of George Fitz-Hardinge Berkeley, to which this book was gifted from the Wellington War Memorial Committee. Berkeley was a fellow alumnus from Wellington, and a soldier, public servant, cricketer, and author of history and politics. Densely illustrated with 109 monochrome plates of portraits of the men who lost their lives.  In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some fading and damp marking to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
