First edition of Return to an Order of the House of Lords 24th March 1874 for Copies or Extracts of any further Correspondence respecting Outrages committed upon Natives of the South Sea Islands, in Continuation of the Papers Upon this Subject laid before the House last Session.Bound in paper wraps. By the Earl of Belmore. Ordered to be printed 15th May 1874. A very interesting historical record of British colonial involvement in the South Sea Islands, including tables and charts.A very scarce copy with only one similar copy held in libraries. Page 7 and 8 has a large closed tear. In paper wraps. Externally, fair. There are significant marks to the boards. There is some loss to the binding to the head and tail of the spine. The extremities are worn. The pages are loose from the spine to the tail of the spine and held by the remainder of the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are generally bright and clean with some spotting and age toning. Page 7 and 8 has a large closed tear through it.  Fair . Ill.: None. Fair .
