Heinse wrote two volumes on Ida von Schwaben or Ida von Elsdorf, Ernest II Duke of Swabia's daughter. Ida was a possible granddaughter to Gisela of Swabia, the Queen of Germany from 1024 to 1039 and Empress of the Holy Roman Empire from 1027 to 1039 by her marriage to Emperor Conrad II.
