He published forty-three volumes of this work in total.Illustrated with eighteen delightful hand-coloured plates depicting national dress. Collated, complete.With a charming inscription to the front free endpaper awarding this work to H. Gilby 'as a reward for good behaviour, and as a stimulus to diligence&apos.Undated; dated 1827 via Jisc.A beautifully illustrated early nineteenth century study of Switzerland. In a full calf binding. Front board detached, with rear board loosely held by two cords only. Rubbing to board perimeters and back strip. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
