1926. AMANUMA Shun'ichi. INDO BIJUTSU SHASHINSHU^. Nara, Taisho^ 15 [1926]. Two plate volumes, but lacking the explanatory booklet. Illustrated with 233 (of 240) photographs of archaeological sites throughout the Indian cultural sphere showing Buddhist and Mughal architecture, architectural details, sculptures, and - to a lesser extent - painted and tile decoration. Two oblong folios (31 x 45 cm), tassel bound in light brown buckram, with title on upper board in dark brown. Each volume has a title-page, an index of photographs, and a map - all in Japanese. One leaf has been trimmed short, where illustrations have been excised, and there are blank spots where other illustrations have been removed. Overall good condition, save the missing photos, but sold with all faults. .
