Signed by the illustrator, Victorian wood engraver Reginald Savage, to the colophon.Illustrated with a frontispiece and six full plate engravings, with a further eight vignette illustrations. Collated, complete.Consisting of fifty-five delightful and brief romantic ballads.With a contemporary owners inscription, dated 1903, in pencil to the verso of the front free endpaper. In the publisher's original quarter paper vellum binding, with paper covered boards. Discolouration to back strip, with bumping to spine head and tail. Minor loss to spine head.
