Cook, in original publisher's cloth binding. This book was written due to the interest in lower forms of vegetation life which has grown as a result of technological developments of the microscope in the decades prior. Mordecai Cubitt Cook was an English botanist and mycologist. He wrote many works of his studies. He was awarded a Victoria Medal of Honour from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1902 and a Linnen Medal in 1903.Includes illustrations within the text throughout. No dust wrapper present.Four pages of adverts to the rear endpapers. In original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities resulting in some wear. The front hinge is starting but firm.
