Third edition. 374/448/431 pp. 8vo. full calf with gilt rules, spine decoration and labels, with gilt armorial motto "Pro Rege" (For the King) at top of spine, with what looks like a gryphon segreant, enclosed in a belt with buckle. All edges marbled, to match endpapers. Red ribbon markers. Minor shelfwear, joints slightly tender. Labels bright and clean. Interiors have minor foxing to preliminaries; else clean and crisp. A desirable set with no markings or inscriptions. .
