Grasses of the Southwest: Plates and descriptions of the grasses of the desert region of western Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and southern California; 2. Grasses of the Pacific Slope, including Alaska and the adjacent islands: Plates and descriptions of the grasses of California, Oregon, Washington, and the northwestern coast, including Alaska. 200 momochrome lithographed plates, each with a descriptive sheet of letterpress facing it. Worn three-quarter leather, brown cloth sides. Bookplate and ink ownership on front endpapers. Library pocket at the end of vol. I. and evidence of pocket removal at the end of vol. II.; but there are no other library marks. The bindings are sound despite the very worn-looking appearance of the leather, which is skinned over large areas and rubbed. Plates and text leaves are fine. .
