A topographical work by Sir Hugh Fraser concerning the high hills, with chapters on deer stalking, fishing, descriptions of stormy weeks in the forest and lochs. Fraser has contributed many articles on sport and natural history to various journals, which are shared in the present volume in book form. The first edition of this work. Illustrated with thirty full page plates, including Finlay Mackinnon, V. R. Balfour-Browne, and Frank Wallace among others. Collated, and lacking two plates.Containing a previous owner's pencil inscription to the front free-endpaper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with some light shelf wear and fading to the spine. Some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, plates facing pages 6, 16, 68, 76, 80, 90, 142, 184, and 212 are detached but present. Plates facing pages 96 and 104 are lacking. Pages are generally bright and clean. Good .
