One of the leading figures of the Scottish Literary Renaissance, M'Diarmid's poetry evokes a medieval Scottish flavour, using regional dialects and Scottish phrasing. This work is truly a worthy addition to this branch of Scottish literature. Many of these works were originally published individually in 'The Glasgow Herald' and 'The Scottish Chapbook&apos. The first edition of this work, in the second state binding of lighter blue cloth. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. In the publisher's original, second state blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with some light fading to the cloth to the head of the front board and tail of the spine. Unclipped dust wrapper is very smart, with just some light sunning to the spine and extremities, and some light offsetting to the interior of the wrap. A few small chips to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. A few spots to the fore-edge, affecting the occasional page, though pages are otherwise generally bright and clean. Near Fine . Ill.: Not Stated. Near Fine/Near Fine.
