Externally generally smart; extremities are rather bumped, with some wear to the boards and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, binding is a little tender throughout, with occasional strain noticeable. Frontispiece is near loose due to the front hinge strain of volume I.
